WtR works in association with Mary's Living & Giving shops by donating clothing to local London stores.
Mary’s Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children is a premium retail concept launched by Mary Portas and Save the Children back in 2009. It is where a group of like-minded volunteers and consumers create a place (a bustling market), and where designer brands and people donate their products and time. True recycling in the heart of their community
Mary's Living & Giving Shops for Save the Children aren’t simply about shopping; they are a retail concept based on Mary Portas’ philosophy that generosity and the collaboration of people’s ideas, beliefs and values can bring a heart to the community while raising significant funds to support the global work of charity Save the Children. 100% of monies made in the Mary’s Living & Giving shops go to Save the Children, therefore providing a platform that balances a high end fashion offering with a social consciousness.
Based on the philosophy that fashion can save lives and shopping can be guilt free, Mary's Living & Giving Shops for Save the Children offer a boutique shopping experience with the community at its core. Since the first shop opened in 2009 they have raised nearly £11million that has helped give children around the world a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
