VOGUE FESTIVAL 2016

It's that time of year again. VOGUE FESTIVAL TIME. The highly anticipated fashion event of the year crept up on us and what a memorable weekend it was.

If your like me and love people watching, it was a dream! From the uber causal to the full out fashionistas Vogue was certainly in the air!

The fashion talks are the highlights of the day, from hearing the wonderful Juergen teller talk about his work, to Charlotte Tillbury's make up tutorial with Kim kardashian. There are lots of things to do and see before heading in, not to mention the time taken for multiple selfie opportunities against the Vogue cover walls.

The first stand I see is the Vogue shop, and I just want everything. J Crew created a super cool Sweatshirt for the event, which unfortunately sold out in the morning, but still plenty of other treats to be had, such as the Yolke eye mask with Art deco Vogue logo placed on the front and the Christopher Kane multicoloured wrist bands.

Luxury beauty brands were offering treatments and advice for all who arrived early and wanted the full Vogue exoerience before or after heading to their selected talks. Jo Malone had an exquisite stand with their lovely products displayed and offering hand treatments, and I managed to stop by the Bobbi Brown stand who were offering 10min Matte Lipstick tutorials. I tried the amazing Art Stick in Berry Brown. Obsessed!

I got the opportunity to sit in on the AW16/17 trends talk with Julia Hobbs. With her extensive fashion knowledge this was the most interesting part of my day. From Sequins to Vinyl, and Velvets to Florals AW16/17 is going to be an amazing season.

It was time for the talk. Creating visuals for social media is challenging yet rewarding but it is always essential and interesting to discover new aspects of the marketing tool from the postive and negative effects it can have on brands and the general public. It was really good to have advice from PR genius Liz Matthews and Liberty London Girl Blogger, and get the ins and outs of social media from the experts.

Next year's festival cant come quick enough, was a fabulous day surrounded by alike people with a real passion for fashion. Highly recommend you book for next year!
